2. Privacy by Design

We have deliberately designed our system to collect as little data as possible. See our WebRTC article to understand how peer-to-peer video works without server storage.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

Your real name, email, phone number, or identifying information
Video recordings, audio recordings, or chat transcripts
Text message content (relayed in real-time, never stored)
Your IP address in any persistent form
Location data, GPS, or geographic information
Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or fingerprints

4. Information We Collect

4.1 Anonymous Analytics

Aggregated, anonymous analytics: session counts, browser type, device type, performance metrics. Cannot be linked to any individual.

4.2 Technical Logs

Standard web server access logs are automatically deleted within 24 hours and used only for diagnosing server errors.

4.3 Cookies

One essential session cookie for Socket.io — expires when you close your browser. No persistent tracking cookies.

5. How Video Chat Works (No Server Storage)

NovaTalk uses WebRTC peer-to-peer technology. Your video goes directly device-to-device, never through NovaTalk servers. All media is encrypted with DTLS-SRTP. Read the full technical explanation: How WebRTC keeps your video private.

6. Advertising (Google AdSense)

NovaTalk displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve personalised ads based on your browsing history. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Opt out: adssettings.google.com.

7. Children's Privacy

NovaTalk is strictly for users aged 18+. Contact safety@novatalk.app immediately if you believe a minor has used our service.

8. Your Rights

Because we collect no PII, there is generally no personal data to access, correct, or delete. For concerns: privacy@novatalk.app.
